I'd love to see that as a standalone extension. I can't take any TypeScript tooling into Web Essentials any more. Do you need help with the extension?

I've opened a bug for this for the HTML editor team in VS.

What is the issue here? I don't understand what is wrong based on the description you posted

Do you have a link or can you describe more precisely what you had in mind?

I'm not sure how discoverable that would be. Have you tried using Shift+Alt+W? Would that not solve this for you?

And then again. Ctrl+B and Ctrl+I are already taken by other commands.

                  Brilliant idea!!!

Where does it show false errors? Web.config?

The support added to Web Essentials for DataContracts is for generating JavaScript and TypeScript Intellisense files based on C# classes

Is this for JavaScript specifically? HTML has the context menu button to `Unminify` the file. CSS/LESS/SCSS has it built in to the `Format Document` and `Format Selection` commands

Why isn't "Re-minify all CSS/JS/HTML files" menu item good enough? Just hit Shift+Alt+F

Do you use all the mentioned libraries? Which one is most important?

Remember, VS2012.2 and VS2013 has already Knockout databinding Intellisense in the HTML editor based on your JavaScript observables

Why don't you use @import's in LESS instead of doing bundling of the compiled CSS files?

How would that work? What does preview mode means when there is no editor?

I don't understand this request. CssCop doesn't show colors. It just runs a JavaScript test on .css files. Is the request to show preview of colors in C#/VB files?

I've added HTML regions in WE 2013, but the color coding of the scrollbar is out of my league. I don't think the scroll bars are extendible.

That would be relatively cheap, since we only need a classifier and a colorizer for it to work and we already have the SASS (old syntax) colorizer in WebMatrix 2. We could just take that and add color to curly brackets and a few other things.

However, this means that the Stylus language actually isn't understood or parsed by VS - just colorized.

Everything is possible, including writing a great Stylus editor for VS. However, unlike with LESS and SCSS, we can't "just" extend the CSS editor with additional features. Given the loose language rules of Stylus, we would have to create an entirely new language service in VS. This is doable, but it is a huge effort and we'd have to start from scratch. Here are just some of the components of a full language service:

                                            - Parser
                                            - Classifier/tagger
                                            - Colorizer
                                            - Validator
                                            - Formatter
                                            - Schemas/language definitions
                                            - Schema manager
                                            - Intellisense/statement completion
                                            - Extensibility/MEF

Each of these components are complex and take a long time to write.

I'm not saying we're never gonna write a Stylus editor, just that it would be a huge effort which, in turn, impacts the priority when triaged against other feature requests.

Stylus was definitely created by people who never wrote editors. In Stylus, everything is allowed and optional. It makes it very, very, very difficult to write a code editor with full Intellisense and validation, since the "rules" of the language is so loose.
