  1. Emment/Zen conding autocomplete

    It would be great to have ability to have autocompletion for zencoding/emment like typing. I mean autocompleting tag names, attributes, maybe existing classes.

    I do undestand that is not that simple to determine what do I typing regular text or zen-string. But it migh have some workarounds.

    As an example hotkey to activate zen coding+ autocomplete mode. Or whaterer.

    • Support another region syntax

      In Typescript regions are supported with this syntax:
      //#region
      //#endregion

      In our team different developers use different IDEs (IntelliJ, VSCode, Visual Studio, Eclipse).
      IntelliJ also supports regions, but the syntax is different.
      // region
      // endregion
      The # is missing. The blank between "//" and "region" is not important, but with the blank tslint is happy.

      It would be nice if Web Essentials also supports the syntax of IntelliJ.

        • enable Project level overrides for Solution level settings

          This has been asked two times before (https://webessentials.uservoice.com/forums/140520-general/suggestions/3603993-have-a-settings-file-per-project-solution-user and https://webessentials.uservoice.com/forums/140520-general/suggestions/5455077-webessentials-settings-json-per-project), and one is declined and the other marked completed, but looking at the comments for these questions this might be incorrect.

          Here's what I need: a WebEssentials-Settings.json file that I can put in a Project's directory, alllowing me to override the solution wide settings for that particular Project. In my case it's the "OutputDirectory" for "Less" that I want to set per project.

                  • php support

                    Where is PHP support just like for Python? PHP is the most used language on web, yet it is ignored. PHP obviously comes under Web essentials, yet we have to buy extension for PHP support. It should have been supported like of python.

                    • Support generating JavaScript and TypeScript intellisense from Shared Projects

                      The menu item exists to create a JavaScript or TypeScript intellisense file from a shared project, but when I click on it I always get an error:

                      An error occurred while processing File.cs. No script file was generated. For more details, see the output window.

                      However, there's never any details in the output window.

                      • Comment generation typing /// (VSDoc style) or /** (JSDoc style)

                        A very good feature would be to implement automatic comment generation for javascript and typescript, starting typing /// for VSDoc comment style, and /** for JSDoc comment style.

                        collapse comments as done with a c# file, actually when "Collapse to definition" is fired on js or ts file, comments are not collapsed.

                          • Supply or Add Support for a JavaScript test runner

                            As web stack developers using Visual Studio, we cannot think of anything more essential that Visual Studio is missing than a JavaScript test runner. VS 2012 added huge support for running server side tests. So as VS2013 and VS2015 were announced, we kept looking for support of JavaScript tests, only to be left disappointed.

                            The post requesting support for Karma Jasmine Test Runner was declined stating that wallabyjs handles it better. Based upon that we've tried wallabyjs and while it is a good idea, it doesn't currently support our configuration, it only runs tests in PhantomJS and not in any…

                                Hi,
                                Again great work! Im search by years a good way to maximeze productivity but not found nothing, incredible...

                                Like all developers know, navigate into code is a big lost of time, and when code become big time lost is very too much.

                                For example: navigate into a HTML file of 1000+ rows, by go up/down in the code.

                                Solution: create a region/bookmark system.
                                Features:

                                1) I create bookmarks like happen now with VS
                                2) I have a bookmarks windows similar to current but with show only current open file bookmarks
                                3) When open a page bookmarks are always collapsed …

                                    • Dustjs-friendly HTML editor

                                      Editing dust templates in Visual Studio is painful.

                                      Copy and paste breaks templates as Visual Studio tries to correct what it perceives as invalid MarkUp. Visual Studio shows squiggly lines all over the place.

                                      At least, Visual Studio should ignore dust tags so that the above issues are resolved. Better, it could understand dust syntax and auto close tags. Best, it could know about the model somehow and provide autocomplete.

                                        • Allows the Markdown tool to switch between View, Edit or Split view

                                          I use Markdown files in my project to document some key parts of code, or as a catalog of useful classes.

                                          The current Markdown editor renders both View and Edit pane.

                                          I think it would be nice to have the choice between View/Edit or Split layout.

                                          It's a bit similar to html editing. A button allows to switch between modes.
